Thank you for being interested in having Gold'n West Surplus hold a E-waste Collection Fundraiser.

We have raised over $25,000 for schools, churches, charities and various organizations through out all over Southern California with our E-waste Collection Events.

Gold'n West Surplus can recycle all working/non-working electronics that either run on a battery or plug into an electrical socket.

The only items we cannot recycle are dish washers, clothes washer/dryers, any/all type of light bulbs, air conditioning units, refrigerators and all alkaline batteries.

Gold'n West Surplus will pay the following prices per pound for all of the materials that you collect during your Collection Event:

PC's = .25 per pound

CRT's (Cathode Ray Tubes - which are TV's and monitors with glass tubes) = .15 per pound

Mixed Breakage (materials not made up mostly of plastic - lamps, vacuums, microwaves, stereos, etc.) = .05 per pound

Plastic Breakage (materials made up majority of plastic - keyboards, printers, mice, speakers, VCR/DVD players, etc.) = .03 per pound

Here are our 2 options that we offer if you would like to have Gold'n West Surplus put on an E-waste Collection Event.

Option #1

(This option best suits Collection Events when you know that you will have a large turn out and you need all the help you can get.)

 

We will come down to your location on a Saturday of your choice.

The event will run from 9am - 2pm. (Hours can vary if need be)

*We will provide Gold'n West Surplus Employee(s), transportation of all collected materials to our Riverside facility and all the supplies that you will need to have a successful Collection Event.

At the end of the event, we will clean up the collection area and bring all collected e-waste back to our facility for separating and weighing.

Once your collected e-waste has been separated and weighed, we will mail out a check out to your school, charity or whatever organization you would like. Checks are usually mailed out within 72 hours of processing your materials.

The only thing you are responsible for is spreading the word about your event to as many people and businesses in your area that you can and having 2-4 volunteers greet the people bringing in their e-waste and helping them fill out the E-Waste Collection Form. 

Filling out the E-waste Collection Form is very easy and self explanatory.

*For a standard 5 hour event we deduct an average of $150-$175 off of the total amount of your collected materials for use of Gold'n West Surplus employee labor and transportation. The amount could be more depending on length of time Gold'n West Surplus employee is used, number of Gold'n West Surplus employees requested and length of commute from our Riverside facility to your location.

 

Option #2

(This option best suits Collection Events when you are unsure about the turnout and every dollar counts.)

We will schedule a morning drop off time and bring all of the necessary supplies you will need to have a successful E-waste Collection Fundraiser at your location on the Friday morning before your scheduled event.

**We will also schedule a morning pick up time of all of your collected e-waste on the Monday following your event.

You are responsible for is spreading the word about your event to as many people and businesses in your area that you can and having 2-4 volunteers greet the people bringing in their e-waste and helping them fill out the E-Waste Collection Form. 

Filling out the E-waste Collection Form is very easy and self explanatory.

During your event you need some people who can stack TV's, PC's and computer monitors on pallets (hopefully you can have some strong dads volunteer their help) and wrap them with stretch wrap. All of the other materials that you collect can be thrown into the large E-waste Collection bins. (All of the before mentioned supplies will be dropped to you during the Friday morning drop off.)

Once we get your materials, your collected e-waste will be separated and weighed. We will then mail out a check out to your school, charity or whatever organization you would like. Checks are usually mailed out within 72 hours of processing your materials.

**We deduct an average of $50-$75 off of the total amount of your collected materials for transportation. The amount could be more depending on length of commute from our Riverside facility to your location.
