The goal of Gold'n West Surplus (GWS) is to provide our customers with the service and honesty that is lacking with so many surplus companies these days.

Our services include computer monitor and television (Cathode Ray Tubes - CRT's) recycling, e-waste recycling, precious metal recovery, laptop and desktop computer sales, company clean up and equipment removal, communication equipment sales and asset recovery.

GWS's inclusion in the SB20 program now allows GWS to collect and pay for CRT's that were at one time filling our landfills in record numbers. We offer free drop off to local residents who want to take part in trying to reduce the amount of eWaste on our planet. SB20 was put into place by the state of California to help reduce the number of CRT's entering landfills by giving state funding to reimburse certified state collectors such as GWS. Our CRT reclamation project is in full swing and we are looking for more municipal partners to continue to work with in an ongoing effort to reduce city refuse.

E-waste, once thought to be trash, can now be recycled in a variety of ways to avoid disposal into our landfills. Our free pick up service (with minimum quanity or contract) is just part of our effort to increase the amount of e-waste that is actually being recycled. GWS's great strides in meeting our local communities needs for e-waste disposal is just one of the reasons why GWS is quickly becoming the best solution for all your municipal e-waste needs.

With e-waste quickly becoming such a large problem, one of GWS's innovative ideas for this equipment is reuse. When computers and other electronics arrive at our California licensed facility, they are sorted in such a way that if whole units or parts can be reused, they are sold as a low cost option to our customers who are looking to join the technological age with a more up to date and cost effective system. We offer better customer service and prices than any major computer store around. One of GWS's biggest goals is to increase the number of households who have computer and internet access so that the next generation has a better opportunity to reach its technological potential. Our intent is to provide both laptop and desktop computers to all economical ranges at more affordable prices.

Another way that GWS gives back throughout the community is by having e-waste drives called "Free-Cycle" events. A "Free-Cycle" event is when GWS will provide all materials and transportation needed to collect e-waste at schools, churches, Boy Scout Troops, etc., for FREE!!!
